The material in this folder focuses on the career of Elena Ray Diller (1909-1996). Diller was the only woman graduate in Ohio Northern University's 1934 law class. She and her husband, Wade M. Diller, formed the Law Offices of Ray & Diller in 1938. She retired from practicing law at the age of 84.

Marian Roose Easton

The material in this folder focuses on the career of Marian Roose Easton (1894-1988), who graduated with her law degree from the University of Michigan in 1921. Her legal career began in her father's office, William H. Roose, who specialized in municipal bond work. Easton continued specializing in municipal bonding, and also drafted papers for municipalities, school boards, and local government bodies in her Toledo office until her semi-retirement in 1970. Images in this folder include an undated yearbook portrait and an obituary published in The Blade.

These items are images from digital and paper sources that were gathered for the Toledo Women Lawyers History Project (TWLHP). The material in this folder focuses on the career of Professor Beth A. Eisler (1946-2012). After serving with the U.S. Department of Justice and teaching at Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Professor Eisler came to the University of Toledo Law School in 1987 as a visiting professor. She joined the faculty permanently two years later, and among numerous awards, received the Outstanding Professor from graduating classes on three separate occasions. She served twice as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the College of Law. Images in this folder include a memorial from the University of Toledo College of Law and Blade obituary.

Anne Beeler Flury

These items are images from digital and paper sources that were gathered for the Toledo Women Lawyers History Project (TWLHP). The material in this folder focuses on the career of Anne Beeler Flury (1926-2015). When she graduated from the University of Georgia with her law degree in 1948, she was one of five women in the first class to graduate women. She returned to Toledo and was employed by Shumaker, Loop and Kendrick, taking care of the firm's library. In 1949 she was the hired by the Toledo Bar Association as its first Executive Secretary. Images in this folder include a Toledo Bar Association memorial and her obituary, published in The Blade along with her husband's obituary, Leo Flury (1922-2015).

The material in this folder focuses on the career of Enid Ware Foster (1866-1951), the first known woman member of the Toledo Bar Association. She was a member of the Women's Lawyers Club and the first president of the Toledo Federation of Women's Clubs. She practiced law with her husband in the firm of Foster and Foster. Images in this folder include portraits and a brief biography that accompanied the illustrated portrait.

Visalakshi "Sala" Gembala

The material in this folder focuses on the career of Visalakshi "Sala" Gembala (1980-2014). Sala graduated from the University of Toledo in 2005 and began her career at Advocates for Basic Legal Equality (ABLE), later becoming a staff attorney with the organization. Her family moved to Cleveland in 2011 where she worked as the lead Immigration Attorney for Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland, Migration and Refugee Services. Images in this folder include a memorial provided by the TWLHP and an online obituary.

Beryl Sansome Gilmore

These items are images from digital and paper sources that were gathered for the Toledo Women Lawyers History Project (TWLHP). The material in this folder focuses on the career of Judge Beryl Sansome Gilmore. Judge Gilmore retired in 2011 after serving for 39 years of service to the United States Government. Her career with the Federal Government began in 1972 as a trial attorney with the Department of Veteran Affairs. Successive appointments included Department of the Interior Board of Contract Appeals in 1978, and the Department of Energy (DOE) Board of Contract Appeals in 1978, becoming its Vice Chair in 1979. Judge Gilmore served as the DOE Board's Acting Chair from 2001-2007. She joined the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals at its creation in 2007 and remained with the CBCA until her retirement. Images in this folder include an announcement of her retirement that was obtained through an online source.

These items are images from digital and paper sources that were gathered for the Toledo Women Lawyers History Project (TWLHP). The material in this folder focuses on the career of Marcia R. Goldberg. She graduated with her law degree and began her legal practice in 1964. After working for Eltra Corporation, she joined her husband in private practice. She also worked as a staff attorney for Toledo College of Law from 1986 until her retirement in 1995. Images in this folder include a portrait, a scan including her photograph from a directory, and a transcript of an interview taken in 2016.
